CETCI’s supports two different tools, Google Sites and WordPress, to help faculty and students create a public web presence for their educational and academic work. In today’s workshop, we will look at some examples of academic websites developed at Pacific, and then put together a sample WordPress site of our own.
One of the primary uses for open academic websites at Pacific are student and faculty portfolios. These websites simply provide a space for faculty and students to present a representative selection of their work.
Faculty have also created websites that provide a homepage for a class or course.
Faculty and students have also developed sites to support specific academic projects.
