Spring has brought some changes to CETCI staff, systems, and spaces, and we’re excited to share them with you. What better way to do that than with a party?
Come to the Forest Grove Library Monday May 8, from 5-6 pm to enjoy wine and cheese. The CETCI team will have fun interactive stations where you can explore what’s new with CETCI. Here’s an overview:
New Staff: In February, Robbie Pock joined the CETCI team. Robbie might be a familiar face to some of you from her time teaching for the College of Arts and Sciences over the past several years. If you don’t yet know Robbie (or even if you do!) the CETCI Open House is the perfect time to say hello.
New Systems: Our old friend, Moodle, is also coming to the party, with an updated look and a few new features. This summer we will be introducing Moodle 3.2, a new version that offers several improvements that will make Moodle easier to use and more flexible for both faculty and students. At our Open House you can get a sneak peek. Google Sites and Google Hangouts have also been renovated. We’re excited to show you around.
New Space: Starting this spring, we have a new space to meet faculty needs–the Faculty Development Lab. With support from the Provost’s Office and Director of Libraries, CETCI has retrofitted a large study room on the second floor of the library with technology and furnishings to accommodate small groups of faculty in workshops, retreats, and other development events. Check out the Lab during the Open House.
